Grad Social – Clare MCR, Tuesday 7pm

In addition to the CUSU LGBT social on Monday for all LGBT students in Cambridge, the Grad committee has a social on Tuesday October 12th at 7pm in Clare College MCR.

We strongly encourage all graduate students/mature undergrads in Cambridge to come to this event! Catch up with friends, old and new and enjoy gracious company in a relaxed atmosphere. We look forward greatly to meeting you all. To find the MCR go past the Old Court Porter’s Lodge to the centre of the quad and turn left! Partners welcome.

Ergo Challenge

Congratulations to the winners of our traditional 100m Ergo Challenge tonight!

The fastest guy was Marko, and the fastest girl was Amna, each taking a bottle of spirits as their prize.
Runners-up Igor and Catherine each won a box of chocolates.

Some determined and impressive performances, in spite of the traditional falling-off-the-seat antics. Thanks to everyone who participated, and apologies for misspelling of any names 🙂

Squash Club

Dear Eddies

The squash ladder for this year is up and running. You can find it at: http://www.racquetladder.com/Ladder/View/262

The rules for the ladder are very simple.

  • any one can join regardless of your level of experience. This is a social club after all.
  • you can challenge anyone on the ladder.
  • you have 14 days to reply to challenge.

Anyone who is interested in playing squash this year, please follow the link and sign up.

We can use the squash courts at Fitzwilliam. Simply go to the porters’ lodge and ask to use the courts. Tell them that you are from St. Edmund’s. Unfortunately we cannot book a court in advance.

Dear Eddies

There are a number of upcoming events in the next couple of weeks, organised by both the CR and other colleges or MCRs.

  • Cocktail Night at Murray Edwards from 7:30pm in their MCR on the 8th October.

Entrace is free and the cocktails are one pound.

  • Eddies’ Autumn Bop in the CR on Saturday 9th starting at 9pm

Entry is free, the bar is open late and there’ll be a DJ.

  • International Food Night on the 10th October.

7pm in the CR

  • MCRevolution at Revolution on the 24th October from 8:30pm – late.

Tickets are on sale until the 18th. Please email Elizabeth on ep363@cam.ac.uk to buy a ticket. There’ll be  two DJs,  a chocolate fountain, casino tables and a chance to win a free ski trip.
