As you already know, elections will be held on Friday 19th October 2012 for the following positions on the CR Committee:

Positions for a full year for the following positions:

• Academic Officer
• Ents 3 Officer
• Families Officer
• International Officer
• Sports Officer
• Women’s Officer

There will also be by-elections for the following positions for the remainder of Michaelmas Term:

• LGBT Officer
• Environmental Officer
• Punt Admiral
• CR Finance Committee Member

**These positions will have elections in Lent 2013**

Those wishing to stand, must fill in their name on the sheets that have been placed on the CR Noticeboard next to the bar. To be eligible to stand for a position, you must be a CR fee paying member and be nominated by two fellow CR members.

Each candidate should submit a one page manifesto to the CR Secretary by Wednesday 17th October 5pm. These will then be placed on the CR noticeboard. Hustings will take place at 7:45pm on Thursday 18th October and candidates must attend and be prepared to make a short speech about their manifesto and ask questions.

Elections will take place on Friday 19th October online. Details of how to vote will be circulated nearer the time. Election will be by the ‘Single Transferable Vote’ system as decreed by the Electoral Commission. Full details available here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Single_transferable_vote
