LGBT Freshers’ Events

Hello all!

Hope you’ve all had a good summer and are super excited to start a new year, and if you’re coming to St Ed’s for the first time, welcome!
For those who don’t know, LGBT stands for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender, but everyone is welcome!

Couple of things happening in the LGBT calendar in the next few weeks.

Firstly, the College Freshers’ Week LGBT movie night is on Tuesday, October 11th at 8pm in the Garden Room. Hopefully we’ll be joined by some Robinson fresher’s so it should be a good night. Drinks and snacks are provided, but feel free to bring your own movie, or take a risk with my DVD collection.

The Graduate Freshers’ Event Thursday 6th October at the Graduate Union from 6pm. A chance to meet old and new graduates with a cheap bar, music and a serious lack of cheese. All 4th years, mature and of course graduate students are welcome to come along.

Another event coming up for anyone interested:
“If you are wondering whether it is ok to be Christian and gay, come to a discussion at St Edward’s church (next to the Arts Theatre) on Sunday October 9th at 3.30 pm. It will be led by Steve Mastin (Head of History at Sawston Village College). St Edward’s is a church that welcomes people, regardless of sexual orientation, and will also be hosting an interdenominational service at 7.00 pm on Monday 17th October”
