BCG Mingle @ Ta Bouche, 8-10pm

One of our sponsors is putting on an event tonight so we have to
publicise it far and wide. It’d be great if you could come and get some
college people to come – we used to have Revs pre-drinks in Ta Bouche
last year so I’m pretty fond of it anyway. Here are the details:

Come down to Ta Bouche this Thursday for an informal chat with members of the BCG LBGT network. This is a great chance to find out how BCG supports and values diversity, and to ask any questions you may have, or just get to know us over some good drinks!

4th November, 8pm – 10pm at Ta Bouche (10-15 Market Passage, by Fez Club)

BCG is a global strategy consultancy with 70 offices worldwide. We partner with clients across multiple industries to address their most pressing issues.
>>
>> Our leading position depends on the strength of our people, no matter who they are. This is why we place great value in supporting diversity. We have a very active LGBT Network which helps to offer this support, and also organises LGBT events on a local and global scale.

Shoe box appeal

Operation Christmas Child is the world’s largest children’s Christmas project. Since 1990 the project has brought the joy of Christmas to more than 47 million boys and girls throughout the world. Last year we sent 1.24 million shoe boxes from the UK to children in hospitals, orphanages, Internally Displaced Persons camps, homeless shelters and impoverished neighbourhoods.

With your help we want to reach even more children in the poorest parts of the world in 2010 and bring them closer to the real meaning of Christmas.  All you have to do is get an empty shoe box, wrap it in Christmassy paper and fill it with goodies.  Once its filled take a leaflet out of my pigeon hole in College (Moore, P) , fill it in and stick it on the box.  Then leave the box by my pigeon hole or send me an email and I can come get it (pm401).  More details online here

Pizza night success

Well done Eddies,

Our Freshers Week fund-raising pizza night was a huge success when we raised £60 for local charity COPARS.   COPARS is based at Addenbrookes Hospital and supports families affected by child cancer.  Andrea and Cara and a whole host of others made a real effort during Freshers Week to create a pizza production line and get the whole College fund-raising.   The start of many charity evenings to come we hope.  Thankyou letter from COPARS available here copars thankyou
